Absolutely one of the best beers I have come across. I owe a lot to the people who brought it to a party. Guiness is a beer that is by far one of the best, very glad it made the top 25.

Like the Guinness Draught, hard to believe I've not rated this before, and since it really is just the draught in the bottle (according to the brewery), I'll give it the same ratings I gave the draught.

Pours a dark black with a tiny head that goes away quickly. Aroma is very tame with a sticky smell to it, reminds me of Twizzlers. Taste is very dry and bitter with a heavy hit of metal in the taste. Very watery and a pitiful body. Why people go nuts for this crap is beyond me. The bottle says "Guinness Extra Stout". Makes it harder to find out where to put this review at since it doesn't say "Foreign" on it.

A friend bought me one of these. I'ld heard of Guinness being an extraordinary beer. The deep dark color was intriguing, the thick tan head was also interesting and it had a heavy malty scent to it. The first sip is when I decided I do not like malty beers. My review scores are based on what I felt as I encountered it that first time. Now that I know what this beer tastes like the color no longer intrigues me, and it's aroma though rich is now something I avoid in beer ever since. I have told friends that if they ever get to the point in lfe where sucking a tail-pipe or showering with a toaster seems like a good idea...have a Guinness instead. All your troubles will seem trivial after drinking that stuff. It is not refreshing until you reach the last drop because then, thankfuly, it is gone.

stouts are not my fav. Beer pours a very black color with a nice large off-white to tan head, with a nice aroma of coffee and chocolate. The taste is like any other Guinness that of coffee and chocloate.

No matter how many times I try Guinness, I fail to see why the world appreciates it so much. As I move along with my beer experience, I do tend to give it slightly higher ratings....more to distance it from the trashy swill than to bring it closer to the diamonds of the beer world. -

i like it better in the draft can. the lack of smoothness unveils a rather boring beer. mellow, but still a little bitter, with just a touch of pee-pee in the flavor.

Canned. Deep rubyish black colour with small off/white creamy head. Aroma is roasted malts, coffee, some bitternessas well as ashes. Flavour is all the same with a quite mouthdrying finish. Tasty.

This was my very first foray into Stouts. I have since found so many more tastier, more complex representations of stouts and porters but I remember this one fondly. Still find the nitogen capsule an interesting adaption.

I've heard so much about Guinness in the bottle that I had to try it. It was not as good as described. I found that the bottled version is beautiful to look at, but the aroma and flavour are a great deal weaker than it's draft counterpart. Give me Guinness on tap any day.

This is a classic however.....one of the few times I can say that if it is not on tap i would take the can over the bottle. It seems as though it lacks a little of the "lets you know its there" effect from the bottle.....still a top pick though.
