http://mybeerbuzz.blogspot.com/2014/06/greene-king-kings-english-ipa.html Having traveled over time and tides (hither yon), the recipe inside this bottle is classic-historic even. What once conveyed far flung journeys to an empire's edge now signals the return home....and a recipe that launched thousands of ships of ale; highly hopped with a perfect malt balance.

I wasn't really feeling this much. Even for an English IPA, seemed light in the hops. More like an English Pale Ale to me. Has some grassy notes. Not much citrus nor malt character though, which are the traits that I prefer in and IPA. Was shopping at the new Trader Joes in St. Petersburg/Tampa and found some newly distributed beers to the area. This is one I could of passed on though.

A dark amber colored beer with a large frothy textured, off white head rising above. There's some hang tome. It settles into a thin ringlet. This is labeled as an IPA, but seems a little light on the hops for this American's palate. There's some grassy notes but mostly a dry malt. Cramy textured and whether it is an IPA or not it is quite good.
