A beer with a monster bitterness and huge hops aromas including tropical, floral and orange peel citrus for an exiting complex flavour. Late hopped for maximum aroma and a refreshingly bitter finish. Double Hop Monster IPA is the wildest, hoppiest beer we've ever brewed. A "big" beer in every way, it's bold, bitter and - thanks to extensive dry-hopping - fabulously aromatic. Just one of a selection of great-tasting beers, created by Greene King at our home in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.

330ml bottle from Ambrosetti (Berlin). Clear amber pour, brief foamy white head. Piney aroma, with hop and alcohol, maybe grapefruit or maybe not. Mouthfeel about average. Good enough flavour, pine resins, a hint of citrus, hops and alcohol. Could almost be a NW IPA. Bitter finish. An okay beer, but not any sort of Monster in my mind.

330 ml capped bottle. Poured in a stemmed glass a clear and copper-amber colored IPA with a two fingers light beige foamy head that had a short retention and some greater and tons of micro bubbles. Low carbonation. No lacing. The aroma is pronounced caramel malts, candied fruits, orange peels, spicy, vanilla and solid grassy hops. The flavour is caramel and light toasted malts, fruity, oranges, mandarins, grapefruits and grassy hops, with a touch of pine. The mouthfeel is fulled, quite thick, hoppy bitter and sweety...sweety. The texture is oily. This medium to full bodied IPA has a caramel sweety, bitter and fruity finish. Hoppied ? Anyway, but a Double Monster ? I doubt.
