Our FALSE CREEK RASPBERRY ALE is an ultra-refreshing summer ale that combines premium malt and hops with Fraser Valley raspberries. Well-balanced with raspberry colour, aroma and finish, it pairs well with summer salads, fresh air and sunny afternoons. TASTING NOTES Fresh raspberries, without being too sweet. Refreshingly tart with enough pale malt character, so it tastes like an ale, not a wine cooler. FOOD PAIRINGS Crisp and clean. Goes well with salads, particularly crisp greens with light fresh dressings. Perfect pairing: Plain chevre on crackers or smoked chicken topped spring greens with walnuts and blue cheese.

Was eager to try this beer as the Brewer's Description made my mouth water. I bought a six-pack in July 2012 and did not enjoy it. It actually tasted as if it had been watered down. I gave it another shot and bought one for the August long weekend. Still disappointed. I thought maybe it was my taste buds acting up, but had a few friends sample different bottles and the consensus it - weak, watery, no actual raspberry taste and 'sweet' was the only identifiable note.

From a 355ml can, pours a pretty big foamy bubbly pinkish head, good retention. Has a ruby coloured appearance. Moderate carbonation. Aromas of berries and sweet malt. Flavours are mostly fruity, subtle notes of raspberries, not to strong though. Also some sweet malt hints. Somewhat of a light tarty finish. Drying and fizzy mouthfeel. It's not bad, fairly refreshing.

Purchased a 6-pack in St-Jerome for our Canadian Tire NASCAR series weekend. Pours an amber-pink colour with a very light pinkish-white creamy head with great retention. Aromas of grainy malts, grassy hops and raspberry juice. The taste is of watery raspberry juices at first with hints of sourness and very mild tart. Light grain in the finish with some bitterness from the hops. Pretty refreshing overall. Good fruity beer for summer.
