Our Chocolate Stout is rich and warming. A perfect complement to Vancouver’s cold winter nights. It is brewed with 4 different malts. Hops from the Pacific Northwest and organic, fairtrade chocolate from Rogers’ Chocolates. This beer’s dark chocolate colouring and aromas of roast malt, cocoa and coffee flavours are accompanied by dried fruit and a mellow bitterness.

Added to BP 16 Feb 2010. Poured a short-lived, frothy brown head over an opaque dark brown body. The chocolate was obvious to the nose right away, and wasn't the flavour just choccy nice as well. Not too sweet, and bitter at the finish as well. Mouthfeel started thin but improved as we went along.

Purchased one day ago from a fully stocked shelf, returning today, the shelf was emnpty. This new beer from granville is quite nice, not the best chocolate stout in the world but damn fine. Has all the typical qualities, I found the chocolate to be more prominent than some other stouts, tad more bready than the average stout. Great feel in the mouth, nice and round, doesnt seem to lack anywhere in particular. Will try again, perhaps more sober the next time around however
