Premo was one of my favorite beers in college. It has a unique sweet taste that's has subtle hints of corn or butter. I'm not really sure. Anyway, I keep an old bottle of Premo on my bookshelf just to remind me of the good ole days. It's worth trying if you've never experienced this classic Minnesota treat. Goes great with ice fishing and hockey.

The pour is clear golden yellow with a one inch white head that falls fast. The aroma is cereal grain, a bit dirty, along with soft fruit and corn. The taste is the fruit sweet grain, coupled with corn and a bit of earth dirtiness. Compared to its peers, relatively clean, though. The palate is light bodied, active carbonation and a brief though slightly dirty finish.

It really reminded me of a malt liquor as far as flavor. Not very complex, extreme stale malt flavors and scents, no hops, bad headache after drinking a couple.

It's been a while since I've had a Grain Belt but I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised. Aroma is mostly nonexistent, beer is as clear golden as you can get, not overly carbonated, and taste is malty and smooth. Overall, very drinkable; goes down easy.

Poured a ridiculously clear golden colour with no head. Aroma was pretty bland, somewhat grassy and grain notes. Taste overall was pretty grainy with an overly malted charactertic. Finishes slightly bitter.

Average-looking pale lager, with head that left a small bit of lacing. Aroma is somewhat malty, with a definite metallic quality. The flavor is much like the aroma. Too bad the hops aren't a bit more prevalent, a quality that I seem to remember Grain Belt having years ago. This beer has changed for the worse over time, or perhaps it's just me. Anyway, this isn't a terrible beer, but I doubt I'll ever purchase it again.

Had to have a pint of the local lager while enjoying a burger at Tom Reid's Sports Bar in St. Paul. Typical yellow / gold color. Impressive white head with foam that had good retention, left a thin sheet of lace. Served quite cold, so not much smell other than a bit of corn. Taste is quite sweet, reminded me of clover. Other Bud Light drinkers in our group picked out this as well. Clean and dry finish. Mouthfeel is thin but crisp, proper amount of carbonation. My pick over the other macro-type drafts.

Crystal clear like apple juice is the color of this brew. A thick white head did meet the top of my glad but it rapidly faded away to nothing. A sweet aroma to this brew. Malt comes to mind, maybe corn and wheat? The taste is a dead match. Nothing to overpowering but nothing to rave about. It is a decent brew that works well with food. Good to clean the palate but leave the taste buds for the desert beer.

The perfect average beer. I love drinking this with friends just hanging out. Not expensive and better tasting than most. Pours a nice golden with a fluffy white head.

Clear bottle. The sickliest pale yellow I have ever seen. A relatively thick head. Aroma of corn and, I kid you not, strawberries and cinnamon! Taste was sweet and fruity with corn and peaches. A strange beer for a pale lager.
