There was particular attention to the malt bill using pale munich, wheat and rye. There was no fruit harmed in the making of this beer, however you can't avoid the beautiful banana esters and clove phenals that the Weihenstephan weizen yeast expresses. Rasselbock is a German style Dark, Rye, Wheat beer.

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6
pours a thick ruddy caramel brown body, with small thin frothy khaki-tan head that lingers on as a foamy ring. The aroma is like the bottle says, big banana and clove phenols. Subtle notes of cream, wheat, brown bread, and some minor alcohol fumes mixed with the banana phenols. A banana and clove bomb, to be sure. The taste flavor follows the aroma: big banana and clove spiciness, notes of grain, wheat, rye, alcohol fumes, spice. Good Belgian yeast profile to be damn sure. Notes of brown bread / bread crust somewhere near the finish. The mouthfeel is smooth & creamy, good carbonation, medium-bodied, and easy drinking.
