Trying to keep our flavors local, this brew is full of flavor and local ingredients. Chicory root is often used as a coffee substitute. Unlike coffee, chicory can actually grow in Central NY. The Chicory flavor is right on the nose and has a nice bittersweet chocolate finish. Lightly hopped for a nice balance, with locally grown Pearle hops, this beer is one for the porter lover!

I sampled this at the Tap Takeover at the Colgate Inn Amazing stuff. rich creamy head smooth mouthfeel great blending of flavors Any bitterness was soothed by the chicory.Each flavor the chicory the mocha and the Porter all stood out yet blended into a melange of delight.
