Meg, Tony and Jon’s quest to bring Los Angeles a fresh, tounge-tantalizing wheat beer included a pilgrimage to Bavaria to study how the best wheat beers are made. Upon their return, the Golden Road Hefeweizen was born, but with their own Californian twist— the addition of dried, locally grown, organic citrus to a bavarian classic. After the initial banana and clove, expect tart citrus, a medium body and a dry finish that will leave you thinking about that next sip.

Aroma - standard aroma of cloves/banana with some fruit cocktail sweetness lurking around.
Appearance - hazy burnt orange body, weak 3-finger head with zero retention
Mouthfeel - light in the body, carbonation is medium
Flavor - cloves and bananas, some peach puree can be found..very nice
Overall - an average attempt at a hefeweizen. Refreshing, nicely priced but there are better authentic German hefeweizens at an affordable price to buy still. -

Classic bavarian hefe style brew. Banana and clove up front and center with ever so slight bitterness in the back of the throat. Sweet smelling, spicy, pleasant on the palate. This place is legit.
