A Glückauf Kräusenbier is a specialty for connoisseurs. The Kräusenbier is an unfiltered Pilsner brewing beer cellar natural state. The opacity is deliberate, and contains valuable ingredients which would otherwise be lost after filtration.

500 ml capped bottle bought at the brewery. Poured in the original Glückauf Kräusenbier glass an unfiltered cloudy golden-yellow coloured Kellerbier with a generous two fingers slightly beige foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of bubbles. Active carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is mild sweety grainy malts, hay, notes of aciditic fruits, citrus. The flavour is solid grainy malts and grassy hops. The mouthfeel is crispy, thin and quite watery. This light to medium bodied Keller has a dry hoppy bitter finish. May be a nice packaging, well designed beerlabel, a pretty glass but its' not enough to qualify this Kellerbier has a top one, rather a decent and averaging one.
