Purchased at Trader Joe in Nashville on my trip there. Pours a dark amber colour, clean, with an off-white head that is big, foamy, with average retention and leaves great webbing. Yeasty nose with a little malt. Watery mouthfeel with a medium-thin body. I guess they have changed they recipe since the beginning, as this one does not taste much caramel anymore (like older reviews). Kind of boring, with a little bitterness. A little sweet malt. Mildly crisp, and still boring. A monster that does not scare at all.

This beer pours a nice amber body with a plentiful white head. Nice creamy texture with plenty of caramel aroma and taste. It was a pretty nice beer for the price.

This brew starts off good with a nice deep gold color and light tan (thick) head. Head stayed a spell and finished to a thin lace. After that it is all down hill. Little to no aroma. Hints of caremel but that is it. Watry and thin in the mouth. Not much going on and I'm having a hard time to describe what this beer lacks. Lets just say everything

A classic "Trader Joe's Special", if ever there was one. The type of beer that you see t-shirts for, and have to wonder if the beer actually exists or not. Well, I've only seen this beer gathering dust on the shelves of Traders Joe's -- and it's little wonder why this beer tends to stay on those very-same shelves for long periods of time!
This beer, to be brutally honest and over-the-top, really blows. Rancid butterscotch aroma and nil carbonation/head/lacing, for starters. No body, no character, zero mouthfeel. I have had iced tea with more "umph" than this. Boring-as-all-get-out flavor profile, with mere hints of any sort of malt or hops in the equation. Poured this down the drain out of sheer boredom than anything else.
Steinhaus makes some pretty boring beers, but this has to to take the cake for being their worst of the worst. I just as well rather take a real Gila Monster and dunk it in a barrel of water, and drink that, than drink this "beer". Avoid.

What a pleasant suprise, this is beer candy. So much carmel flavor its shocking. This would be a bad thing, meaning the beer is unbalanced, but the carmel aroma and flavors are just so strong and thick it really reminded me of carmel apples and halloween.
