I know that you get what you pay for, but I had to try this. A brownish tinged black colored beer with a moderate frothy textured light brown head rising above. There's good hang time on that head. It settles eventually into a moderate sized ringlet. Roasty bitter chocolate nose. The same but more intense in the tasting. The body, though is light and nearly watered.

I grew up on Killian's Irish Red, but don't care too much for that anymore. But, you know what? This is actually pretty good. Better than expected for sure. Not quite in the craft stout territory, but for Wal-Mart beer and the price...I'll take it! Dark black appearance with a decent frothy mocha head. Pretty much chocolate malt in the flavor. Balance can be better, but it is what it is. I passed on this a few times, then the only place I saw it (Wal-Mart) was out for a month or two. Glad I got to try while it was in stock. I like stouts, so WTH, I'd get this again.

Bargain priced, sucker for stouts, had to try it. Surprise! Not to bad. Nice deep brown black pour, frothy head, nice lacing. Roasted malt characteristic, slight cocoa sweetness, thin mouthfeel, but nice flavor makes up for that, nice finish, roasty. For a Macro, it is decent enough, for the price it is a value. Would drink again in a pinch.

Nutty and malty with a side of roast. Not bad, really. Pretty much what I expected. Not a great beer but it hit the spot. Medium carbonation. Not very dry for the style. Probably a one timer but I won't turn it down.

Very sour-metallic smell and taste right up front. It's a dark brown beer that is crystal clear with tan head. As I got into the beer is was more nutty than toasty but it does have the roasted malt flavor too. The metallic flavor wore off as I drank it and it wasn't terrible, still, its st. Patrick's weekend and this is no Guinness.

Mild roast and some calm chocolate, nuts and coffee too. Dry with a fading sweetness, but a thin metallic after taste soon detracts. Brown head and decent lacing along with an amber~brown colored body. Pretty good offering from a mega-brewer.

Bought as Killian’s Irish Stout, hopefully I’m in the right place. This poured a black appearance with a beige head. The aroma contains some coffee, charcoal, licorice. The flavor is extremely dry and bitter with some coffee and licorice. The palate is not nearly as thin as expecrted. Overall a little better than I was expecting.
