THis is world class honey mead. While not really beer, this raspberry honey mead is delicious. It smells like summer berries, but don't let it fool you it is VERY strong. It is one of the finest brews around in Pennsylvania.

General Lafayette Raspberry Mead Ale poured a golden color body with some red hues with not much head to speak of. The taste was very sweet with a strong note of raspberry throughtout. This beer is not for me, but for a mead it is decent.

This one poured an amber color. The aroma is alcohol and raspberries as well as the flavor. A very sweet drink with the alcohol showing through and punching the raspberries in the face. Some honey appears in the aftertaste. Overall it was ok but not something for a drinking session.

I had this one on tap at the brewery. It is a mead and just like a mead should it tasted sweet. If you are ever there try it, it is worth it.

9.6%... Poured a pinkish gold color with no head, although it did leave some lacing. Sweet fresh sweet raspberry aroma. Sweet honey and slightly tart raspberry taste, it had some light carbonation. This was a nice mead. It was sweet and fruity, and some may not like that, but I never got into those Boone Farm beverages, so I don’t know what they taste like. This was extremely enjoyable!

S'alright, I didn't think it was anything special, but then again, I don't like beer. :)

I didn't think this one was too impressive. It was definitely pleasant and a good honey sweetness, but the raspberry seemed to be lacking in presence. But beware, it is 10.7% abv!
