In typical GCB fashion, we've strayed from the traditional style guidelines of a saison to offer up a new concept: introducing the Silver Beach Tritcale Saison. Triticale is a hybrid of rye and wheat, which offers both dry spiciness as would rye and a smooth, creamy mouthfeel as would wheat. The saison yeast produced a wide array of complex esters, including flavours and aromas of banana, bubblegum and clove as well as a hint of gingery bite and fruity dried apricot. A must-have for those seeking bold flavours in an easy-drinking approachable summer beer.

Clean, golden colour with a frothy whitish head, good stay and thick, creamy lacing. Nice Saison yeast aromas with orange notes and some spices. The rye comes out in the taste, with mild wheat. so a touch of bananas appear. Gets a tad hazy as it pours. A beautiful smelling beer with the spices, but the taste is a little confusing with all going on. Still, well-brewed and worth trying.
