Deck the Halls! Our Spiced Holiday Porter is Here! Porter emerged in the 1700s, in England, and rose in popularity amongst the working class, particularly rail porters, from where the beer derives its name. While many variations of the style exist, porters generally have a dark to opaque appearance and range from red to black in colour. While its close relative, stout, focuses on roasted malt character, Porter leaves the roast to a minimum, allowing the various caramel, chocolate, and biscuit flavours to play centre stage making it an easy holiday favourite. We’ve put our own signature spin on the style, and are proud to Offer “Dachshund Through The Snow” our own full-bodied, full-flavoured, spiced porter. With ingredients like coriander, cinnamon, cloves, fennel seed and peppercorn, this porter pairs well with turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce and Chef Z’s famous Vietnamese Pho.
