This annual favorite is a sublime hybrid of an American IPA and a winter warmer. The result is a bold brew that celebrates the holidays with an intriguing blend of centennial hops providing elegant citrus notes balanced by the backdrop of a rich caramel malt body.

From Haggen (Burlington, WA) in a bomber. Pour was a clear and dark copper under a smallish ecru head. Some ring was provided by said head. Pleasant aroma of hops and malt. Nice hop/malt balance in the flavour, plus some alcohol. Buttery mouthfeel. For a NW IPA, not really any citrus or pine influence.

A bright amber colored beer with a big frothy textured, off white head rising robustly above. It has good hang time and settles into a thick ringlet and film third way up the glass. The nose is hoppy. Citric hop melded perfectly with the sweetness of mlt. Medium bodied and smooth.

Nice citrus aroma and flavor with a decent malt back and a touch of spice, a nice bitterness and the malts come out more as it warms. Nice full mouth with a slight carbonation bite. Overall a decent beer from Full Sail.

Strong, hoppy aroma has fruity and cloves hints. It pours a dark honey-golden amber with a thick, fluffy, snow-white head that leaves a few patches of lacing. Flavor is quite hoppy with woody and malty notes and a hint of spiced fruit, and just a little hop bitterness. Texture is smooth but just a little fizzy, with average body. Overall, just fine for "wrecking" the halls.

Pours clearish copper with a low white head ring. Lots of hops in the aroma, mouth, and flavor. Also a bit malty and a hint of citrus. All around OK.

22oz Bottle from Specs, $3.99 - drank at Chadwick's during the Texans-Falcons game, we won! .. . . pours an orange tan .. medium headring .. light sticky lacing .. light maple, sap, and bitter honey .. . light mouth .. . decent but needs to be more assertive, like welbeck .. . . Let me get this straight. You took all the money you made franchising your name and bet it against the Harlem Globetrotters?

It pours a hazy and thick burnt-orange/copper with a thin and bubbly light-tan head and copious arms of lacing. An aroma of caramel malts, light hops, orange and other citrus fruits, candy apple, brown sugar, and light spiciness. The mouthfeel is smooth and rather rich. Flavors of caramel malts, hops, bitterness, orange and citrus, brown sugar, and spiciness. This is different, good though!

Plenty of malt and a citrus hop aroma. Clear copper color and very little head. This is a very typical, clean, NW IPA. Full body and well balanced. Not over-the-top bitter. Gets even sweeter with caramel as it warms. Nicely done, but not out of the ordinary.

this is a bigger beer than their regular ipa, and i like it better. fuller body, aroma is similar (but maybe spiced?), taste is stronger, which is good in this instance. only 22's @$4, though.

Pours a dark amber/light brown, kind of hazy, with creamy head; strong citrusy hop aroma but, for an IPA from the northwest, it seems to be missing the strong bitter taste. Taste is more malty with a bit of a spicy kick. Far from the best IPA to come out of OR but not the worst either.
