Brewed with Citra hops which impart interesting citrus and tropical fruit characters to the beer. Franciscan Well IPA is dry hopped to preserve the delicate aromas and is balanced with a subtle malty sweetness.

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 9
500 ml capped bottle, limited edition of 1 200 bottles. Poured in a snifter a clear and ruby-brown, or mahogany, coloured IPA with a short one finger beige foamy head that had a mid-sized retention and tons of micro bubbles. Low carbonation. Poor lacing. The aroma is powerful aromatic hops, fruity, tropical fruits, mango, lime, citrus, on a solid sweety malts backbone. The flavour is toasted and caramel malts, fruity, citrus, tropical fruits, candied fruits, spicy, mandarin peels and hoppy bitter. The mouthfeel is light sparkling, quite thick, fruity and hoppy bitter. The texture is oily. This medium to full bodied IPA has a lingering aromatic hops finish. A tasty and well balanced IPA from the Cork County in Ireland. I enjoyed it.
