The beer pours black with a tight, tan-coloured head. A beautiful, complex aroma of vanilla, caramel, crème brulée, toasty malt & subtle spice. The beer is full-bodied, rich & creamy. Intense flavours of chocolate, vanilla, and caramel with background coffee & brown sugar. The oak contributes to the gorgeous silky texture, and the vanilla balances beautifully with chocolatey flavours from the malt. Perfectly balanced, if we may say so ourselves. Inspired by the dark of Winter, where cold nights are kept at bay by a warm, comforting fire. Morning Star is a testament to those early Porters looking for a stout, flavoursome beer. We're pretty sure that French oak and fresh vanilla pods were entirely unobtainable by the Victorian era working class, but fortunately we live in a time when robust and satisfying can also be rich, complex and infused with vanilla! Full bodied and moreish.
