Appearance is pale with hues of straw and aromas are sweet of candied orange and red apple. Through mixed fermentation and assertive dryhopping comes a unique and complex balance of tart fruity esters, elderflower and spice, tapering to a dry finish.

    Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9

Corked and caged 750ml wine bottle from Central City. Poured an unworldly head, at least seven-plus fingers of a long-lasting ivory tower. Just a touch of yeast in the aroma, more so light fruit and spice. High ABV of 8.8% was well-concealed. Fabulous mouthfeel for the style, rich and creamy it was. Yeast in the flavour but not a lot, spices in moderation, and some light fruit which I'll guess is the apple. Finish was as dry as advertised, along with sweetness imparted by the candied orange and some peppery notes as well. Price of $14 was rather dear, but worth it in my mind. Please, Four Winds, bring this one back for next year.
