Aroma is strongly hoppy, the way a good IPA should be. It pours a clear amber with a thick, fluffy, and rather persistent ivory head. Hoppy flavor has an undertone of grapefruit, and a fair amount of bitterness. Texture has firm body and a good amount of fizz. If not an outstanding IPA, still a decent one.

Ok, close your eyes. Imagine a standard issue, easily forgettable IPA. No, not like that...you can't put anything memorable in it. Think generic. Yeah, that's it. just like that. Ok, now turn the flavor dial down a notch or two. Yes, exactly. See that delicious looking, copper colored, foamy headed beer that is not quite as flavorful as you think it should? That is the beer I have in my hands right now.

A bright amber colored beer with a big foamy textured, white head rising robustly above. Good hang time on this one. It settles eventually into a medium sized soapy ringlet. The nose is light. Some pine resin. Not as bold as one might expect. The tasting is certainly different. Where most IPA display citrus and piney hops. This is more floral and grassy. Again not a bold hoppy presence. Nice bready notes also in the tasting. Medium bodied and smooth. I liked it.

Big thanks to my buddy JP for pickign this up for me on his way out from Utah. Pretty straightforward IPA. over carbonated I would say. Clear orange, taste is citrusy, piney and slightly spicey like advertised. Aroma is pleasent, modestly floral with herbal notes.
