Straw-blonde in color, squeaky clean on the palate and with the fortitude of all your favorite FCB bocks. This quaffable Helles is a traditional German celebration of summer right here at home.

It pours a bright burnt-orange with a 1/4-inch thick off-white head and copious lacing. An aroma of caramel malts, toffee, light hops, butterscotch, oranges, bread and yeast, and light spices. The mouthfeel is smooth, lightly silky, and rich. Flavors of caramel malts, hops, light alcohol, butterscotch, oranges, spiciness. Very tasty and refreshing!

This is deeply amber colored. There is a very light khaki head on top. The nose is sweet, fresh baked bread along with some hints of fall leaves. There is also a little bit of caramel, but it is light. The taste is fairly sweet at the start with a finish of toffee and cheap tobacco. The big taste in the mouth is like smoky glazed donuts, but not quite so sweet. A strange taste to describe and it is familiar. I guess if you had a donut without much glaze, and then inhaled some secondary cigarette smoke, that would be like tasting this brew. It tastes a lot better than I am describing. Nicely done and warming in the mouth as well as the belly with the alcohol. i would describe the taste as similar to an amped up Oktoberfest.

22 oz bottle. Pours a clear golden with a small frothy white head that quickly diminishes to a thin bubbly collar.
The aroma is sweet sugary malts with some toasted biscuit.
The flavor is lots of toasted biscuit with a touch of minty fruit and a bit of alcoholic bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with low carbonation.
Overall, tastes like a slightly amped up Fat Tire. It's looking like I don't care for Hellesbocks.
