Doktor Lager was developed by our brewmaster to be similar to the world famous Munich Helles lagers of the beer halls in Munich, Germany. This is not a heavy beer but has a traditional flavor from imported Munich malt and Hallertau Mittelfruh hops. A beer for all to enjoy.

It pours a brown/burnt orange with cloudy white head and excellent lace. Interesting aroma of malts, hops, citrus, molasses, and some spice. The mouthfeel is smooth, full-bodied, a tad thin. Flavor of caramel malts, molasses, hops, citrus, bitterness. Different, pretty good.

Sampled at the brewery taproom. Poured a clear yellow color with a light white head. Aroma was wheaty and sweet. Flavor was light and also wheaty. Good, but nothing too exciting.

The Doktor pours a clear gold with a fizzy white head that quickly dissipates.
Its aroma is some maltiness with some DMS, slight grassy hops and a little fruitiness.
The flavor is bready, sweet, malts initially with light bitterness at the end. There are some citrus and banana notes. It is light bodied with a syrupy mouthfeel.
Overall, better than a typical lager, but it just didn’t work for me.
