eh. not bad. aroma of yeast, citrus, spice (coriander)...similar flavor, a little muddled. slight overcarbonation and a light feel, otherwise a solid wit entry.

Purchased on my trip to Nashville. Pours a cloudy golden-yellow colour with a creamy white cap that adds some thick wavy lacing. Big witbier yeast aroma with lots of wheat and notes of citrus and spices. At the last pour, the colour becomes very cloudy and orange. The orange is definitely present in the taste as well, with the yeast and wheat. A pretty good representation of the style, just lacking a bit in the taste.

As expected for the style, a hazy yellow colored beer. As not, the the foamy textured head is relatively small and shortlived. The lacing is very light. Some film, a thin ringlet. Coriander, bready notes and citrus are in the nose. Creamy on the palate. Medium bodied. Decent carbonation. The tasting is much like the nose. Spice, citrus, wheat and bread. Really pretty good.

Pours out in a hazy pale golden colour with a frothy lasting white head. Crisp aroma of coriander, wheat, mild lemon and guava. Light-bodied with rounded notes of mild lemon, wheat, Seville oranges, coriander and mandarin. Smooth juicy mouthfeel. Mild fruity finish of yeast and lemon with touches of mandarin and pineapples. A really nice surprise since their earlier attempts on Belgian style ales where quite bad (Garde de Dog, Kerberos Triple).

Sampled on 12/27/09. This witbier pours a hazy orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is wheat, orange, citrusy and spicy. A medium to light bodied witbier. The malts are cereal, wheaty, fruity and sweet with some orange, banana and cloves flavors as well. The hops are floral. Lively carbonation. Some wheat and cereal flavors, with a lot of fruit and sweetness. For some reason this reminds me a whole lot of Blue Moon. Just saying… There is a lot of carbonation in the aftertaste. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly sweet and spritzy.

Comes out of the tap a nice clear translucent golden with a fine-bubbled white head. Aroma is wheaty, yeasty and fairly strong with a hint of lemon (though this may have come from the de rigueur lemon slice). Rich, mouth-filling, wheaty flavor is yeasty with a decided undertone of lemon and a whisper of sweetness. Texture is fairly smooth and fizzy. Flying Dog does it again!

Bottle: Poured a light hazy yellow color ale with a light foamy head with minimal retention and some lacing. Aroma is dominated by loads of ginger notes with some orange peel also discernable. Taste is a mix between some ginger some coriander and some orange peel. Body is way too thin for the style with some average carbonation. A bit more wheat would have benefited and this would have been a great beer.

Cloudy straw colored body with a minimal sized white cap. Yummy floral aroma with banana, yeast, and clove a mild citrus is also detectable. Flavour is sweet and smooth and I swear it tasted like muffins. More muffins, cloves, yeast, banana, and a touch of lemon are all in the flavour. Body seems a touch light and is way to heavily carbonated. Not the best Wit I’ve ever had but still highly drinkable.

A murky yellow apperance with a white head. The aroma contains coriander, lemons, and oranges. The flavor is rather light with some lemons, orange peels, and a hint of clove. Overall a decent summer beer but a little bit on the light side even for a witbier.
