This beer was a very dark brown, almost black. The head was light and tan but didn't stay around long. Lacing was fair. The aroma was big smoked flavor, literaly like you bbq'd a stout. The mouthfeel was about average, pretty smooth but with a little edge. The taste was like a light stout with a smokey edge. I got a lot of malt taste, nice hoppiness and in the background there was a sweet fruity taste that I couldn't pin down. Then of course the smoke, which was very strong in this beer. Its a nice combination with the roasty porter flavor. This beer finishes crisp, not a whole lot of after taste and leaves the mouth dry. Definitely worth checking out, I will surely have it again.
