Tasted at the Five Islands brewpub. Black as night, with some dark chocolate tones at the edge of the glass. Tan, thin head. Aromas of coffee cream chocolates, with slight smoked ham hint. Flavours rich, leathery, velvety, iced coffee. A subtle savoury note that would align this nicely with a plate of oysters. Smooth but not heavy. Right up there with other good examples of style.
