The nose is greeted with toasted almond and earthy honeyed aromatics. Rich dark golden color with off-white head. Crisp but complex maltiness with pronounced earthy toasted malty flavor notes initially. Hops are quite subtle with implied Tettnang spicy notes in the background. Moderately low bitterness contributes balance and counterpoint to all of the malty complexity. Crisp acidity keeps the malt profile clean and distinguished. Smooth dry finish with lingering toast and almond.
