Here is one half of a 'Black and Tan' beer. Not any Black and Tan, but where a pompous, viscous motherfocker and a laid-back, hoppy guy meets and perfect beer-balance occurs. Mix with Yin Yang, or enjoy this flippant good Imperial IPA solo.

Clear dark copper, tanned lacing foam head. Strong hoppy aroma and bitter taste. Some hay notes. Lasting aftertaste. Good beer, now discussing US of=r Denmark sourced?. (Velp 201703)

12 oz bottle. Pours hazy reddish gold with a big rocky off white head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is piney grapefruity hops with sweet caramel malt.
The flavor is sweet sugary caramel malts with fruity hops that have a pretty harsh bitter aftertaste. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied and a bit watery.
Overall, an OK sweet and fruity DIPA, but it's a bit watery with a harsh aftertaste. -

A dull orange colored beer with a big frothy textured, off white head. There was good hangtime on the head. Settles into a thick ringlet. Lighter nose of citric hops. The tasting brings forth grapefruit, pineapple, acetic. Bold but not unpleasantly so. Highly drinkable. Light and someone resin slick.

Pretty sweet in the nose and flavor but adequately hopped and very smooth and soft for such a big beer. About as good solo or with Yin as a black and tan.

This poured a copper color with a white head. The aroma contain some citrus with unsual stuff like pineapple showing through. The flavor is very malty and sweet for a IIPA with a vanilla and citrus presence. We did not have the Ying to mix with but oh well. Overall this was ok but not really my speed when it comes to IIPAs.

330 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 10.0%. Amber colour, large off-white head. Aroma of piney and fruity American hops, notes of orange marmalade. The flavour is medium sweet with loads of American hops, bitter of course, but not quite as extreme as expected. Mixing with imperial stout Yin is recommended.

Aroma is seriously hoppy with just a hint of sour citrus, a mix of orange and grapefruit. It pours a nice clear coppery brown with a respectable off-white head. Flavor is very hoppy, with a firm undertone of grapefruit that has a touch of orange; bitterness is minimal, and there is more than a whisper of fruity sweetness. There is also a bit of maltiness. Texture is quite fizzy and lively, while finish is hoppy and a little fruity.
