Bought in Armpit,OK in some cruddy lil' liquor store.. . wow! this takes the cake on the nastiest foul smelling beer i have ever been in contact with- it honestly smells like stagnant urine .. . it has a strange smoothness for malt likka, but is eerie and off putting .. . black screen, grrr .. . light gold, medium head on the pour- dies down to a light spotty bacteria white .. . decent for a monster but still nothing i'd ever even consider looking at again... .. babies are dumb, i had to go through a dozen before i could find one that could swim...

Seriously, we need a 1 option on here. Upon cracking the can open, I smelled green apples. Not a good sign. The beer felt really greasy sitting in my mouth. I took approximately three sips and down the drain it went. Never will I have this vile beer again.

Ser cauteloso con la alta gravedad del Ojo malo, mi amigo. My bussiness partner bagan drinkin Hurricanes when we started to go belly-up. I reseached the brewing process and discovered that they are a bargain - just don't drink too many of them... they have a punch. Evil Eye is a good one for the seasoned beer drinker.... don't guzzle the all night like you would a Coor Light or you'll stand on one foot and touch your nose... then you'll see what the breatalizer blows....

So, it is the infamous "Evil Eye" malt liquor; I just found this gem in a gas station in my old college town of Carrollton and I must say, I am not exactly looking forward to drinking this vile brew known for its sewage-like qualities. Aroma is very hot and alcoholic with some metallic corn coming through with some massive sweetness with maybe some spritz of lemon and almost burns my nose hairs when I inhale it. Appearance is a dark yellow in color and is straw-like with a fuzzy, white head on top that is full but vanishes quickly and leaves light-white lacing on the glass. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied and is ruff to say the least with only cloying sweetness with no balance or complexity with a palate that is almost dry-like and like Acetane. Flavor is of sweet malt and adjuncts as well as phenols with tons of sweet corn and diesel with an aftertaste that is hot and very alcoholic, almost radioactive, with a finish that is of grain, corn, rice, and adjuncts. Overall, not as bad as expectd to be honest but not that good either but I must say one 24oz can will definitely make your head spin...DMS...perhaps; also.

For the ridiculously cheap price, this lager is the way to go if you want to get tanked for under 5 bucks. I can drink around 2-3 40 oz. and actually get DRUNK. Its kind of got a bit of a sweet aftertaste, much like sake(as written above). It actually tastes heavy, and I like to think of this lager closer to wine than beer. At 10% alcohol, its closer to the alcohol content as well. So, if your broke and you want to get wrecked, I would much rather go with Evil Eye than cheap hard alcohol.

The first time I saw an empty Evil Eye forty sitting under a bridge in Denver I knew this one was a real winner. The surroundings of the empty 40 told me all I needed to know, that it'd get me real drunk, real quick. So if your headed to the liquor store with only a couple bucks and the ambition to get drunk, pick up an Evil Eye, there's even different flavors and tall cans!

I only drank Evil Eye one time while I was in Denver, but I would say i for sure enjoyed it. I got all drunk and it was pretty tight, thanks to the Twins in Denver, because they drink that shit like water. If you're going to be drinking a 40, make sure it's one that's as sick as Evil Eye, I mean, just look at how epic that label is.

This is not a bad beer, especially considering the price. For 10% ABV, it is not a rough as one would expect. There is certainly a strong adjunct taste and the aroma is almost wine or sake like. It pours ok, but the strong head is quickly history. You do want it ice cold for sure.

Let's be serious about this - Ojo Malo ("Evil Eye") is cheap stuff. You can't possibly expect anything fantastic, or even decent for 5 cents an oz.!!

That said, I can't afford to drink Guinness or any of the other beers I like, on a regular basis. Evil Eye is the best cheap beer I've ever had, and one 40 oz. is quite enough to bonk me out. Other than the alcohol content (which is obviously a plus - one 40 oz. is like a 6-pack), I agree with the other reviewers who say that it really doesn't taste too bad ... nice lemony note (c.f. Clash). Yeah, it's sweet, but I think that's in part due to the high alcohol content. As Tressa says, it's kinda like drinking hard liquor, or (more precisely) wine.

Drew says it tastes like crap in a can - I bet that's correct, because the metallic taste of a can is probably not gonna go well with this beer. Get the 40 oz. size in a bottle ... remember you are drinking cheap trash, and just relax! It has a funny way of growing on ya :))

The aroma was much better than most malt liquor in other words it didnt make me gag. Some lemons and a hint of corn. A yellow appearance of course. The taste was somewhat sweet with more lemons showing. Not cloying nor did I get any fuselage. Top notch for such a crap style of beer.
