Bottled- Dark brown, almost black. Small bubbly pale brown head. Rich deep aroma of fudge, dark chocolate, vanilla cookies, soy, mild pepper and muscavado sugar. Medium-bodied with notes of roasted and burnt malts with notes of anise, ashes and dark chocolate. Long solid malty finish of burnt malts, dark chocolate, nuts, mild sweetness from dried fruits, anise-seeds and mild brown sugar. I dig this, a great porter, not outstanding.

Bottled (thanks omhper). Black colour, mediumsized brown thick head, that settles into being smalll, but lasts for quite long. Aroma is roasted malts, some burnt wet wooden notes, mild muscovadoish notes, ryebread and mild ginger cookies. Flavour is rather much the same with a nice smokey aftertaste. Rather spicy finish and aftertaste.
