The center of the Empyrean universe. Third Stone is dark in color but light on the taste buds. Smooth and sweet with just a hint of roasted flavor that goes down like a dream.

Pored a dark brown witha moderate head, carbonation was a little low, bottled bupbeer, smooth drinking beer, Nutty flavor. received as a gift from another Brown Dog Mafia member so I can't comment on the cost.

Sampled at Lazlo's. Poured a clear brown color with a small light-brown head. Sweet caramel was the aroma. This was a very smooth beer. Flavor had a nice chocolate maltiness to it with a sweet caramel finish. A nice brew.

Sampled from bottle, traded with Bditty187 from NE. Pours a clear, medium-brown with a frothy off-white head that steadily dissipates. Aroma is simply awesome: nutty, spicy and floral. Balanced flavor is earthy with a hint of chocolate and perhaps coffee. Slightly dry, bitter finish. Medium-bodied and moderately carbonated. An excellent brown ale.

Pours medium-brown with an airy and quick-diminishing head. Floral and nutty characteristics are found in the aroma. The beer is smooth and medium-bodied with adequate carbonation. The taste is nutty, earthy, and quite rich.

No matter what other beer I try I always come back to Third Stone Brown. It's one cold smooth beer.
