01.08.05 "1 pint" bottle, trade from matta. Rootbeer brown pour with small head when poured vigorously. Initially served as suggested at 42 F. Roasty coffee and acidic aromas with nutty hints. Touches on being vegetal, mostly roasty and dry...maybe too dry...thin body and somewhat chalky. Really an interesting brew if not outstanding, and it’s good to see some interesting beer come out of Florida...and it’s encouraging to see a guy like Matt out there tracking down the good stuff and spreading the love in the beer community. Thanks Matt! Man, this stuff was addictively gulpable...I downed it like a dog in a desert.

As solid of a brown ale as i have ever had. The most important thing to remember when having a fine brew is to have it at room temperature. That really lets the flavor come through. There was a perfect blend of the 9 hops and 5 malts. A great brown ale. Not dark enough, and not they malts lack a nuttiness to them.

I can't remember a brown ale I liked less. I hate to be critical, but this stuff sucked. Not much head, too sweet and not hop balance. Weak.
