Opaque golden yellow with small white foam head. Quite sparkling. Aroma is quite metalic. Taste is not like a weizen, more like a heavy pilsener. OK beer, not outstanding. (Velp 201305)

Bottled. Amber colour, yellowish beige head. Aroma is fruits, wheat, some quite wooden notes as well. Flavour is fruits, wood, some mild notes of wheat and herbs.

Pours out in a hazy amber colour with a small white foam. Metallic aroma with notes of butterscotch, caramel and toffee with small hints of banana esters. Medium-bodied with stale and dead flavours of metal and caramel, butter with weak notes of green bananas. Short metallic finish of banana and vegetables. Quite bad.

500 ml bottle, bought at KaDeWe, Berlin. Murky brown colour, large off-white head (but relatively moderate for a hefeweizen), does not last "forever". Moderate carbonation. Lovely cloves and banana aroma, hints of dried fruits, oak and fresh brown bread. Flavour is bready and fairly dry, moderate notes of cloves, mouthfeel is relatively watery and bland. Does not quite deliver what the aroma promises. Probably better with food than on its own.
