On tap at Drake’s Barrel House pouring up deep clear copper with amber hues and thin gold edges supporting an off white head of foam that leaves behind nice sheet lacing. The aroma is sweet, a little nutty and also sprinkled with somehow candy sweet hops (hmm? I don’t know how to describe this). The taste is yummy hop forward as I get near chewy pine hops, some spicy hops and then increasing hoppy resiny bitterness to midway helping to create an almost wood sap like spiciness. Off in the background thinly ringing the hops are echoes of malts and malt roastiness. Solid brew were the 50 IBU indication for this beer on the chalk board over the taps seems far too low. It seems more in the 75 IBU range.
