A full-bodied, traditional IPA, well balanced with a healthy dose of English hops. Reminiscent of "historical" Knoxville IPAs.

A copper color with white head. The aroma is not very powerful with some caramel and citrus. Flavor is rather bitter but well balanced. Some caramel, oranges, grapefruit present. A slight herbal presence. Overall a nice one.

From tap at Downtown Grill and Brewery in Knoxville. A light amber IPA with decent head and lacing. Significant hops aroma with citrus and malts. Good carbonation. Hops and more hops - with a slightly piney middle and slight malts - then good hops finish that remains well balanced.

Growler. Poured a clear, golden color with a medium white head. Strong lacing. Pleasant citrus aroma with a hint a sweet malt to it. Mouthfeel is nice. Flavor is a pleasant hoppy taste. Citrus is very apparent, with a nice sweet caramel touch to it. Finish has a pine taste to it. A nice brewpub IPA.

Tasted on tap at brewery. This IPA pours a medium orange color. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is orange and citrus. A medium bodied IPA. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are grapefruity and citrusy. Nice balance. Good carbonation. More in the English style of an IPA. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

This is a bit on the mellow side for an IPA, but this could have been a nice hoppy pale ale, and it is pretty much what this was. I liked the White Mule better.
