An early German ale, this full-bodied Düsseldorf style exhibits a rich mahogany color. Special malts imported from Munich lend an authentic malty note to this exceptional brew.

On tap at Downtown Grill. Soothing and malty with a mild overall feeling. Light brown pour with a half inch head and moderate lacing. Crisp and clean with a slight grassy aspect to compliment the biscuit and caramel malts.

This poured a dark copper to brown color with a white head. The aroma contains some caramel, toffee, and bready notes. The flavor is malty with more caramel, toffee, and some cheerios. Yup I said cherrios! The finish is a bit sweet. Overall a nice session beer.

Nice malty sweetness in the nose. Drawn a moderate amber color with a slight head. Robust malt flavor with a sweet beginning tapering to an ever so slightly bitter finish. Full-bodied and very nice.

Growler. Poured a clear brown color with a medium off-white head. Very slight lacing. Aroma has some caramel and roasted malt to it. Flavor is pretty nutty and also has a bit of smokiness to it. Malty and bitter finish. It's a decent altbier

From tap at Downtown Grill and Brewery in Knoxville. A nice deep reddish-amber color with a good head. Aromas of sweet malt and good hops. Good carbonation throughout. Nice sweetness to malty taste with a full-bodied finish.

Tasted on tap at brewery. This alt pours a medium to dark amber color. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is roasty malt, caramel and sweet. A medium bodied alt. Malts are caramel, bready and sweet with a touch of smoke. Hops are earthy and floral. Nice balance. Good carbonation. Touch of hop bitterness behind the mellow malts. Crisp dry finish. This beer went well with my Ahi Tuna Steak. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

This amber beer doesn’t have a lot of character. there are no off-flavors or aroma, but there isn’t much in the way of on flavors either. Just kind of bland.
