Dark golden color with a large white head. Aroma contains some citrus, spices, and sweet potatoes. The flavor has some sweet, potatoes, brown sugar, citrus, and some pepper spice. The aftertaste is slightly sweet but more sour. Overall different but still pretty good.

375 ml corked and caged bottle. Poured an explosive and unfiltered opaque rich golden-amber coloured Saison with a generous three fingers slight beige pillowy foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Active carbonation. Good lacing. Many floating sediments. The aroma is rich, yeast, a bench of sourish juicy fruits, apples, grapefruits, mandarin, spicy, coriander, cinnamom, a point of ginger and grassy hops. The flavour is sweety caramel malts, candi sugar, fruity, apples, lemon, notes of honey. The mouthfeel is fizzy and very smooth. This medium bodied Saison has a dry bitter finish and surprising notes of cocoa in the aftertaste. A very tasting Saison. You must be only focused on the opening of the bottle !

The first of the Dormaal beers I bought (and the last one rated). This was definitely the best of the four, and the most on style. A nice golden pour, lots of head, lots of bubbles. Aroma is earthy funk, dirt, and must. Flavour is yeast, funk, and citrus. Well balanced.
