A pale ale hopped to the extreme! This beer starts out as a nice pale ale until it reaches the kettle. Throughout the course of the 90 minute boil four massive hop additions are made which transform this beer into a hop-head's dream come true. Both Chinook and Tomahawk hops from the Yakima valley are added in extreme quantities for the maximum bitterness, flavor and aroma. Fermentation is conducted as usual with our house ale yeast at higher temperatures to produce more fruity esters which complement the hoppiness. Just to be sure, we add even more hops to the beer when it is transferred from the fermenter to the bright beer tank (dry hopping), and allow the beer to rest on these hops until all of their character is absorbed before kegging and bottling. The result is one of the hoppiest IPAs on the market.

From Haagen (Burlington, WA) in a bomber. Pours a cloudy orange body under almost no head. Nose featured hops underpinned by pine needles. Flavour had the hop/malt/pine needle trifecta, and the pine needles again at the finish. Decent mouthfeel. Not remarkable but nice to drink. Very similar to the Harmon's Pt Defiance IPA but with a better start.

This one poured a copper colorwith a faint perfume and orange aroma. The flavor is rather malty for an IPA with just a hint of bitterness. Some oranges and lemons in the flavor. Overall nothing wrong with it but nothing to make you hoop and holler. I will also refrain from "dick" jokes

This IPA pours a deep orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Medium to large sized white foamy head. Aroma is grapefruity and floral hops, and a touch herbal. A medium bodied IPA. Malts are caramel and sweet, touch of wood. Hops are grapefruity and floral. Medium to highly bitter IPA. Kind of typical for a PNW IPA, i.e. balanced way toward the hops. But there should be a little more malt in this beer than there is. The orange and citrus hop balance each other, but there needs to be a little more malts. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is bitter

Nice clear dark golden beer, with a large frothy eggshell coloured head. Good spicy aromas..smewhat piney, and fresh. The taste is VERY hop centered on this one, even for the PNW, very piney/grapefruity and very bitter, not much balance but strangelly refreshing. Pretty good brisk mouthfeel to this beer. Not a bad beer at all, but for me rather too imbalanced and that prevents me consuming too much in one sitting
