Meh. Nothing to write home about here. Standard color and body. Aroma and flavor are slightly vegetal, which just isn't pleasant in a alty beer, otherwise this is a thoroughly average brown.

Thought I had had tried Diamond Knot before, but confused it with Pike's Street...which I had liked. This was either not that good, or the bottle was old or spoiled. Sort of forced myself to drink it towards the end, but had to get past the initial sour flavor. IMO and experience, brown ales are kind of sweet...sometimes leaning on the bitter side. This had a weird blend. Murky medium brown appearance with an decent dark head. Aroma not that good. Bought with their Vienna Lager, so hope that one is better.

Your average run of the mill brown ale. A decent brown pour with a tan coloured head, not quite clear. Roasted malt, nuts, and floral hops make up the aroma. The nuttiness of the malt comes through in the flavour before giving way to a nice hoppy finish.

Randomly grabbed this beer at the local supermarket because i never heard of the brewer before. Dark brown with a light tan head. Aroma is super nutty, wood with nice caramel malt sweetness. Somewhat smooth but has some carbonated roughness near the end. Medium body. Very interesting malt profile with some good drying in the finish without getting hoppy. I liked this one and wish I had time to try some more.

Pours a luscious, transparent coppery brown with a light tan head that doesn't stick around too long, although it does leave some good lacing. Aroma is malty with hints of caramel and brown sugar, not strong but still inviting. Malty flavor has some subtle spicy and woody tones, but is on the wan side so a point off there. Texture is fairly smooth and just a little tingly. Not a great ale, but worthy of a try. This is more of a party beer, or an accompaniment for a meal, than a stand-alone brewski.

A deep mahogany colored beer with a small soapy textured off white head rising ever so briefly above. Disappears into a thin ringlet. The nose is caramel with light nutty notes. The body is light and well carbonated. The tastes are mostly sweet malt. Some coffee on the aftertaste. Some citic hops. Let this one warm and the nutty tastes come forth boldly.

On tap at brewpub. Brown color. Small sized creamy white head. Strong lacing. Nitro. Aroma is mild, slightly nutty and sweet. Medium bodied brown ale. Malts are nutty and sweet. Slightly bitter hops. Hints of chocolate. A step above the general brewpub brown ale. Smooth taste. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
