unfortunately, they no longer make this awesome brew, but it is hands down the best pilsner i ever had. it takes a lot to remember what i consider to be a pretty boring (although refreshing at times) style of beer, but this one stood out big time. clean, crisp, and refreshing in the bottle, better than i thought a pilsner could be at the brew pub. 2014 re-released as a bomber. As with Cinder Cone Red I'm convinced this is not the same beer as it used to be. It lacked the hop bite and floral awesomeness that it used to have. My palate may have changed some, but not this much. Old 6 pack and draft were 4-4.1, this release is a 3.5, tops. Gotta dock it, and it's no longer my fvorite in style. Sad day...

Pale color and nicely carbonated, looks make my mouth water. No yeast on the nose to speak of, excellent--toasted, light grains and springtime, flowery herbs. Taste is very mildly hopped, touch of sweetness. Finish is crystal clear. Nice beer, could be a touch more dry and semi-sweet.

Straw yellow pour with a huge frothy white head. Nose is malty with some hoppiness and a bit of lemon. Flavor is crisp with the saaz and it finishes very dry. A decent Pils.

Light straw gold color, small head. A light bodied pilsner. Light malts and slightly spicy hops. Some citrus flavors. A traditional tasting pilsner. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. Light refreshing beer.

Nice looking pils when poured into a glass..bright yellow with a nice sized pure white head..nice carbonation present..head goes but leaves a nice covering and lace. Nice fresh hop aromas..and also some buttery maltiness..very nice. this is a typical German style pils ( and thats a good thing)..very well done on the hops..nice and crisp[ with a nice sweet malt undertone Very good on the palate ..its crisp but not too "dry". Very very drinkable American version of the classic German Pils. Now if only the macros could make lager/pils like this

This is OK but I think they tried too hard. Real bitter aftertaste that I don't typically get from Euro Pilsners. Just not as clean, but that doesn't mean I won't drink all 6. 3 beers later and this gets better. My initial rating is a bit harsh. This is pretty good brew.
