1894, brewed at first to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the brewery, is an audacious combination of a hoppy tripel and 2-year oak aged uncut sour beer, refermented in the bottle. A beer that combines both hoppiness and acidity is really something to get excited about! Cheers

750 ml corked & caged bottle, as De Brabandere 1894 Oak & Hops, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 8.0%. Moderately hazy golden colour, enormous white head, lasts "forever". Pleasant aroma of mild spices, hoppy notes of citrus and tropical fruits, also notes of oak. Moderately sour flavour, notes of brettanomyces and oak, spicy notes, some fruitiness, medium bitter finish.
