Pours a thick frothy purple head and has a very dark grape coloured appearance. Aromas of grainy malts, grapes and blueberries. Flavours are arguable blueberries but also a bit of grapes and some spices in the mix. Lively carbonation. Slight sweet bitterness. Sourness in the aftertaste. Watery mouthfeel. Light bodied. Good stuff. Also enjoyed a 6oz. sampler at Festibiere de Gatineau, which I think I preferred over the bottled version. Oh well. Still pretty darn good!

Having tasted their version of the apple-cranberry this week, I decided to go out and find their wild-blueberry one. Found at the newest IGA in Hull, Quebec in a 4-pack. Pours a clean ruby colour with a foamy pink head that fizzes away quickly, leaving a bit of lace. At first, the aromas are of blueberry juices, but then, alcohol and grain cereal come out with hints of honey. The taste is mildly sweet with a bit of the fruit and the grain coming out in the finish. Not as good as the other one, and too expensive for this. Prefer the Ephemère ones from Unibroue.
