At Creemore Springs, we’re all about keeping things simple. Twenty years ago, we made the decision to make one beer really well, and that’s what we’ve been doing ever since. But we do get bored from time to time. Every 10 years or so, we seem to get an itch to try something new. This year, we’re celebrating another milestone our 20th anniversary. Our brew master Gord Fuller and the brewers have been experimenting once again and have created something special, Creemore Springs Traditional Pilsner. It is their interpretation of a classic Czech Pilsner. The first pilsner was brewed in 1842, over a hundred years ago, in the Bohemian town of Plzen. Revolutionary at the time, it was a fired-brewed beer characterized by a rich golden colour, sweet malty flavour and an abundance of hop. Similar to original pilsners, our direct fire brewing process and combination of specialty malts yield a beer with a deep golden colour and delicious malt flavours. Our very own spring water creates a soft pure background on which Czech hops impart a fresh fragrant aroma and bitter finish.

Clear golden yellow with quickly fading white foam head, although lacing to glass. Aroma is weak malt. Bit high carbonated. Taste is decent bitter pilsener, not too sweet. Aftertaste is weak hoppy bitterness. (Ottawa 201210)

This was Creemore's first attempt at a Pilsner, and while generally accepted as a very good beer in it's native regions, it is not up the standard of the Premium Lager. This is a typical golden lager which lacks the corn and other adjuncts the macros add.

THis is yet another great offering by the Creemore Brewery. Colour - pale gold, clear, white head. Aroma - cereal malt, floral hops. Mouthfeel - medium bodied. Flavour - biscuity malt, some sweetness, and a hop finish. Overall - I would recommend any Creemore product.

Forth offering from Creemore and only came in a 12 or 24-pack at The Beer Store. Pours a golden colour with a decent white frothy head that stays a while and leaves a bit of lace. Not much carbonation though. Tiny bubbles here and there, but very light. Not the aroma I was expecting for a brew that says "Traditional Pilsner". Chemical nose at first, but then, as the beer breaths, a sign of relief is felt. Grainy biscuit malt with the hop in the background. No grass though, that I am expecting. Big biscuit malt taste as well. Awesome grainy finish that lasts into the aftertaste. A little hop shows up, but again, not as expected. So, love this beer as a grainy one that makes me think of the "Steam Whistle" malt, but not sure about the Pilsner nature. A bit more hop is found in the SW though.

The poured a translucent gold colour with a generous head that quickly disippates. The aroma was very malty with some slight hoppish hints. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was very grainy, with very little bitterness. -

Bah this beer sucks. Being a fan of the 2 other Creemore brews, I was really looking forward to this, but this sure as fuck ain't no goddamn Pilsner! Oh it is a lager, one of those crappy sweet lagers I detest. Uggh, FAIL!!

Creemore Springs Premium Lager is well-spoken of in Southern Ontario, although I find nothing spectacular about it. It's a clear copper coloured beer with a generous head. The aroma is grainy with a touch of hops. The flavour is slightly malty with a bitter finish. I think the beer is over-rated myself. Not bad, but not great.

Can: Poured a golden yellow color pils with a nice foamy head with average retention and some minimal lacing. Aroma of medium sweet malt with some nice floral notes provided by the hops. Taste is also dominated by some notes of sweet malt with some nice hoppy floral notes. Very refreshing overall while respecting the style guideline.

This stuff is great! Poured out a large thick, white cap on top of a crystal clear dark gold brew. Lots of ropy lacing. Plenty of biscuit malts and some softly spiced hops but every deep smell I take I smell armpit sweat....I checked my own armpits and it's not me! Still worth a 7 though. Great flavour blended well with biscuit malts and some spicy and floral hops. Slightly sweet. Very well put together in the flavour department. Mouthfeel is nice with lots of soft carbonation, comes across nearing medium bodied with a very pleasant bitterness. This is no crappy Canadain pilsner. Good stuff. Thanks Faron for the brew, for letting me reassure him that he is my bitch at pool. Also thanks to Faron for the following: hitting me in the eye with a pepper encrusted gravy bomb, yelling at and abusing our bitch waitress, chasing his keys into traffic, not tearing his pants in half climbing a fence, not getting lost in the ravine near my house, puking all over the spare bedroom while he slept, attempting to wash the pillows and blankets without shaking them off and then missing his wifes best freinds wedding ceremony at the church the next day which caused me to instantly laugh in her face ( I couldn't help it). Good thing you flew all the way from Ottawa for that one, eh? LOL! Party on, buddy!

Rich golden color, this is one good attempt to emulate Czech pils...Good malt base biscuity and nice floral notes, this beer is as well delicate and robust i would say very satisfying and well balance...Mouthfeel smooth and delicate and on top of all very flavourful.
