Since he staked claim to the orchard, Crazy Beard has fought tooth, nail, and hatchet to protect it. He brews a special ale and hoards it fiercely. Only on the night of the Harvest Moon does he leave a single barrel for those brave enough to make the journey North.

Way better out of the can than out of the glass. The ratings reflect a half way point between the two. Out of the glass it's drinkable, but weak. Out of the can it has an amazing aroma - like a Granny Smith apple orchard. The body is full on the front of the tongue and throat but gets kind of sticky on the palate and weak on the back of the tongue. Taste wise reminds me of a cross between Nicklebrook's apple and Unibroue's. Starts strong, but finishes kind of sour. Not much, just a tad. The only drawback is the appearance. Really pale and thin with no head at all.

Says contains malt, barley. Pours a clean golden colour with big bubble carbonation. The head is fizzy and disappears quickly leaving nothing. Aromas of fresh apples and sugars. The taste is the same, but not really syrupy. More of a wet mouthfeel. Kind of on the fake apple side of things (not ciderish), but overall drinkable.

The beer pours a translucent copper colour with absolutely no head. The aroma is apple, grains and acidic notes. The mouthfeel is weak bodied with above average carbonation. The flavour is apple juice and alcohol. There is yeast, barley malt, water and apple in the ingredients.....but no hops.
