Helles, often referred to as a "light Munich" is a mildly hopped, malty, well-balanced golden colored beer. Close to a Dortmunder style, with a hint of sweetness. The malt sweet-ness, often described as almost a caramel taste, is the mark of this beer.

Nothing at all like the Munich Helles it claims to be. A light amber color with a thin cream head, no retention, no lacing. The nose is caramel as is the taste. Sweet and full tasting with no hop presence. Much more like a Vienna Lager or maybe an Alt.
