May Run is always a great time and this sessionable May Run Saison is a great compliment to the true beginning of spring in the North. The May Run Saison boasts some great lemony fruity esters, and like it's cousin La Grisette, you'll find a slight spice character contributed by a Belgian yeast strain. The hop variety Hallertau Mittelfrüh lends a hand at promoting this spice typical of a Saison but also adds a floral bouquet to the aroma and flavour profiles to recall the wonderful smell of spring. Pairs well with: Sitting by the fire.

Can from the brewery, on my August 2018 Northern Beer Trip. Pours a golden colour with bigger bubble carbonation. The head is big, frothy, foamy, with good stay and patchy foam lace. Big orange funk aromas at first, but some light Belgian yeast comes out to blend things nicely, with hints of grassy hops. Gets hazier and hazier at every pour, to get to full cloudiness. The taste blends again some mild Belgian Ale yeast, orange citrus notes and spiciness from the hops. A decent balance between citrus peel and grassiness. The whole thing is quite mild, so good as they say for session. Pretty good, but wish it was more Saison yeast than Belgian.
