The Colorado Vixnu is a very respectful IPA from Brazil, with a strong aroma of citric fruits. The 9.5% are not so perceptible and the beer is easy to drink due the high drinkbility.

Nov. 2014: Shared bottle at local tasting, thanks to our beerpal Olav. ABV is 9.5%. Deep golden to amber colour, moderate white head. Surprisingly moderate aroma, some fruity and piney hops, stale marmalade and a little caramel and dust. Distinctly hoppy flavour throughout on a decent malty base, nice bitterness, well balanced.

Pours clear, coppery amber with a thick and fluffy buff head. Aroma has hoppy and fruity notes, more sweet than evergreen. Hoppy flavor has fruity and subtle floral notes, plus a little sweet malt. Texture has average body and good fizz. Get your samba goin’!

330ml bottle from International Advent Calendar. Dark copper pour, and not particularly clear, along with a smallish white head. Aroma better than expected, given the origins, citrus, pine, and some booziness. Mouthfeel was respectable. Flavour had ample malt, lesser bitterness, and boozy as well. Bitter finish. Surprisingly good.

Smooth medium bodied brew with dull carbonation. Sweet caramelized sugar up front plays well with the soft tropical fruit flavors of papaya and mango. Sweet maltiness lingers. for being 9.5% not a touch of detectable alchol. Burnt sugar tropical fruits, lingering sweetness, malt forward IIPA.I dig the retro looking label.
