When it comes to hop-forward flavour, this brew definitely brings the thunder. Rolling Thunder New England style DIPA gets its unique character from a generous hopping of Strata, a relatively new hop from Oregon, and Zappa, a domesticated hop originally grown in the mountains of New Mexico. Expect aromas of Seville orange, sweet fruit and light pineapple, with big flavour notes of green melon and grapefruit.

Too bad, this one had escape a bit from the bottle from the shipping. So flat, with some bubbles as a ring, golden, lightly hazy. Grassy nose with orange juice, other citrus zest. A nice blend of Strata and Zappa hops giving again in the taste, grassiness with the citrusy notes. I love DIPAs, so was pretty pumped to try this one - too bad for not having this one in Ottawa LCBO instead of shipping from TO.
