The 17th entry in our IPA series brings together two of our favourite beer elements: sour and hoppy! This brew is dosed with the perfect combination of Amarillo, Ekuanot CRYO, Columbus and El Dorado at a whopping 16g/L, resulting in a stunningly bright citrus character with dank and tropical stone fruit backing notes.

The beer pours a hazed light gold colour with a very short lived bubbly head that lasts mere seconds. There is no lacing. The aroma is tart fruit, grains, yeast, and perfumy hops. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is nicely balanced between the grains, the tart fruit notes, and the bitter hop finish. Possibly the best sour IPA I’ve ever had. -

Tall can from LCBO. Pours an average size foamy white head and dissipates to a soapy bubbly coating. Has a hazy orangey coloured appearance. Moderate carbonation. Aromas of tropical fruit, pineapple and mango. Flavours are overpowered by the sour notes right off the bat. Eventually, some tropical fruit becomes more noticeable, papaya, pineapple and mangos mostly. Lots of bitterness on the palate. Very tangy as well. Kinda tiring of the sour ipa's. A bit disappointing.

Pours a lightly hazed, bright yellow colour with a bubbly white cap, average retention and some soapy bubbles left around on top of the brew. Citrus notes with hints of grass, and the wild-earthy sourness in the background. Refreshing, wet mouthfeel with just a tad hop dryness in the finish. The taste shows the mild citrus peel, juices, with the wild yeast sour notes and some light tart left in the mouth. All is well-blended, but prefer their regular IPAs for this series of numbers.
