Pours a clear, appetizing amber with a thick and fine-bubbled eggshell head. Aroma hits you in the face with a bag of fresh hops, mainly resiny but with some woody notes; a hint of sour orange makes an appearance. Resiny, evergreen hops dominate the scrumptious flavor, which has woody and citrus notes as well but minimal bitterness. Thick, firm texture has a fair amount of fizz and leaves a seriously hoppy finish. Worth searching the galaxy to find!

Orange/ peach colored body had a a little bit of haze when poured, with a two fingered head on top. The aroma was very citric and piney as well. There was a ton of grapefruit on the nose. The taste was also emphasizing citric and tropical, rather than bitter, flavors, with some tangerine, grapefruit, and some guava and passion fruit. The finish was drawn out and drying. The beer was little thinner than typical for the style. I liked this one for being a bit different than typical a DIPA.

12 oz bottle. Pours hazy orange amber with a smallish off white head that goes to a thin film that leaves some lacing.
The aroma is sweet nutty caramel malt (kind of imperial reddish), with some tropical fruit and resiny hops. It's a little subdued.
The flavor is sweet nutty malts with some ripe fruit and fresh resiny hops. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with slightly sharp carbonation.
Overall, seems more like an OK "imperial red" type. Sweet nutty caramel malts with resiny hops and some fruit. -

I picked this beer up from the Wine Gourmet in Roanoke, Virginia. I was PLESANTLY surprised by this beer. I'm not one to judge a book by the cover, but this is a beer I passed on for some time b/c of the weird label (lame, I know). Well, It served me right - this beer was REALLY good. Citrusy and piney all in one - not a lot of malt interfering with the hops. I'd have this again for sure. Great beer.

A friend brought a growler of this from Maltitude in Columbus, GA. Not quite top tier IPA, but a solid representation of an East Coast style. Malty with a semi-cloudy medium to dark orange appearance. Decent amount of citrus and pine. Pretty even balance. Hop is strong but not a hop bomb like some West Coasts. I may like their Miracle IPA better, but I'd try this again to be sure.

A murky copper in color with a huge frothy textured off white head rising above. There's good hang time on the head. It slowly recedes into thick billows of film and ringlet. A bold hop presence in the nose. Nice, really nice play of piney, some citrus and sweet malt. Medium-full bodied and smooth. Well done.
