At the Clocktower Bank st. brewpub with Chopz. My pint arrived with a pretty thin layer of head, as opposed to the thicker creamier looking head from Chopz's glass. Has a deep reddish/brown colour and can see through clear enough. Pretty weak lacing. Aromas of roasted malts and mild hops, not very much. Some caramel and malt flavours are quite apparent, with notes of mild coffee. Hint of chocolate. Somewhat peppery. Hops take a back seat to maltiness. Bitterness on the palate and aftertaste. Not too bad.

Enjoyed this pint with PaleAleRider at their Bank street pub. Pours a clean copper colour with a nice creamy light-beige head that was long lasting and gave out dirty lacing (not all pints had a nice head like mine). Mild perfume malt with a bit of hop. Caramel and coffee eventually came out as the beer warmed up. Medium-bodied with a little stickiness. Fruity malt taste with the roasted malt appearing eventually. Decent bitterness and dryness for the finish. Also, notes of very light caramel, coffee and nuts. This is a nice refreshing, fruity-roasted beer with a beautiful thick creamy head that lasted all the way (for me).
